Do you write blog posts and never publish them?
Are you writing a post for hours or over the course of days?
It’s time to stop overthinking your blog post.
Have something to say and say it.
Keep it pithy – short, concise, and to the point.
Carry a notebook with you at all times.
Make notes of ideas, phrases, or situations that you may write for your blog.
Take your notes and make a list of blog post topics or titles. Use that list each time you sit to write a post. This will help you move past being paralyzed about writing a blog post.
If it takes you hours or days to write a post, rethink what you’re trying to say.
Don’t mix too many ideas in one post. This is often where we get hung up on creating one post. We want to stick to a word count below 500, ideally 350 words or less.
When we mix too many ideas, the post becomes an article. Rest assured your readers won’t make it through your long post.
Hit publish. Don’t be afraid to say what you have on your heart to tell your readers.
If you’re answering questions people are asking you, then you’re writing a post people will read. Be proud of your creation and send it to the world.
Stop overthinking your blog post. Write. Edit. Publish.
